Challenge #2

Don't waste your time hating people, things, and/or places... Hate, hate. Not anything else. We can accomplish more if we do one thing at a time than nothing at all. Every small move counts. Whether it is passing on a smile, sharing positive advice, or lending a helping hand to others... it counts! The opportunities are endless. Don't wait for it, start now!

Question of the day: What have you done today to help others?

Enjoy The Fall.

Don't waste time worrying about when or how you will fall. Enjoy your time and if you trip and fall, simply get back up and try again! At least next time you will  know where you went wrong and what you can do to improve.

Remember: Without any falls, there would be no room to grow!

Karma.

Do not be an accessory to a situation you would never want happening to you.
What goes around comes around... make sure you choose wisely!

Remember: Sometimes when someone wants to do a bad thing, it is easy to be pressured to joining in the act. Just as easy as it is for one lit candle to light another.

Turbulence.

There are several things in life that you can control and plenty that you cannot.
Just like when you travel by airplane, in life, you  might have a smooth ride or a pretty shaky one. For the most part you can't always predict how the ride will be, but thats ok. Why is it ok? Because if you cannot control the ride, you can at least control how you will react.
Always remember that even when life gets shaky, you can still manage to get by. Everything is temporary and what today might seem endless, will eventually pass. Likewise when experiencing a smooth path in life... enjoy every second of it, because you never know when you might hit some turbulence!
Try to live in the present but always think about the future, especially when experiencing a tough situation. If you focus on what will come after this tough time, you will be able to remain strong and get through it.

Remember: some people might react to turbulence differently than you. You might know of people who barely even notice it and others who are just constantly waiting for it to happen. There is no right or wrong way on how to handle turbulence as long as you find a way to get through it.

How are you handling the turbulence in your life?

A Brand New Start.

2015 is just around the corner and with only 2 days left before the new year kicks in, most people are probably already trying to figure out what their "New Year's Resolution" will be. Often during this time, holidays come accompanied by a mental hangover. Some people take days off work, other people travel to visit family, others just relax and enjoy the time off. Regardless of what people choose to do, bouncing back to reality after the holidays can be a bit overwhelming. Set your priorities, find out what your goals for this new year will be, and focus on what makes you happy... this will be a quick route to finding just the right amount of motivation that you need to end this 2014 with a bang!

Whatever you do, make sure that you take some time to unwind so that you can have a clean fresh mind before the countdown to 2015 starts.

Racing Against The Clock.

Everyone has their own clock. Never try to make yourself catch up to other people if you aren't ready. There will be times when some of your friends might achieve certain milestones in life before you, but that does not mean you won't reach them too.

Rejoice in where you stand now and know that your time will come. Enjoy life and live in the moment. Take some time to realize that every person has a different purpose in life and sometimes people live life on a different speed than you.

Cultivating Life.

In order for any plant to grow, you need to have the right soil. You can have sunlight shining on it the whole day and you can water it as much as you want... but at the end of the day, if the soil is no good... the plant will never grow.

Same thing goes for anything that you do in life, whether it deals with your personal life or your professional life. You need to make sure that whatever direction you choose to go, you have the right soil so that you can grow and develop.

Imperfection.

Is truly what makes you beautiful. Nobody is perfect, we all have scars. Some of these bring up happy memories and others do not.

Instead of dwelling in the past, focus on where you are now. How have those scars made you a better and stronger person?

Take a second to realize where all of those little imperfections have led you to.

Be positive and know that tomorrow morning you will have a brand new day. A new beginning to start all over again!

Structure.

Not everyone is able to set a strong foundation for their life from the start. Some of us are better at it than others. For example: some people grab different parts of the structure at different times and build their fort of life at their own pace, while others start from the bottom up. Regardless of how you choose to build your fort, you must always remember the foundation. Without a strong base, your structure will collapse. Maybe not right away, but eventually it will weaken.

It is never too late to add a strong base to your fort. Even if your windows have already been set in place, you can still manage to set the tone of your construction. Always remain positive and never forget about the little things that surround you, as these are often the ones that will strengthen anything no matter how big or small the structure is.

Take for example the picture to the right... All we see is the huge wire cables and steel eyebars, but those screws that are naked to the eye, are some of the most important parts that are helping this bridge sustain itself.

P.S If you ever run into a person whose foundation might be missing, be patient and remember not everyone builds the same way.

You define yourself.

Those days when you find yourself thinking about the past. Those days when you think about how you could of done things differently. Those days when you come to realize that not everything goes as planned. Those are the days when you need to remind yourself that your past does not define who you are, but it does prepare you to be the person you are working on becoming.

Life is not always easy, but if you take a moment to look at yourself, you will see that every inch of who you are connects to a certain point in your past. Not all memories are sweet, but those that are bitter also count.

Do not let your past define you, let it teach you how to become better so that you can learn to define yourself.

You are stronger today because of yesterday, and you will be even stronger tomorrow because of today.
